The clean-up of rubble and debris on Main Street in Steinbach has started today after months of delays.

The wreckage, left behind from a fire that destroyed several businesses, has sat in the same spot since July 10th, just under four months ago.

Anyone driving by Main Street on Wednesday afternoon may have noticed excavators working in the area.

Though we have not been given an exact timeline by the company in charge of clean-up, a spokesperson for the ownership group says they were told to expect it to take approximately four weeks to complete.
