A portion of Road 30E, or Rosedale Road west of Mitchell, will be reconstructed beginning this week.

Rob Driedger is Manager of Engineering and Utilities for the Rural Municipality of Hanover. He says the Hanover Community Development Corporation is reconstructing about a quarter mile of road, off Highway 52. The work could commence as early as Thursday.

Driedger notes they will be removing the existing base to a depth of about two feet and replacing it with a new base that is to proper standard. Then, a week or two from now, they will add another three inches of asphalt over top.

During reconstruction, Driedger asks only local traffic to use that roadway, from Highway 52 all the way to Road 37N.

Fast Brothers Construction of Blumenort has been hired to do the work, at an estimated cost of $170,000.
