Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz is criticizing the Canadian Wheat Board's own vote on the future of the CWB.

In a statement this morning Ritz says farmers realize the survey is "seriously flawed," pointing out many non-farmers, multiple land holders and even deceased farmers received ballots.

He says the Board is failing to remember its own survey this spring said that when given the choice between a single desk, dual market, and open market, 58 percent of farmers prefer either a dual market or an open market.

Ritz says he expects the CWB will use the plebiscite results to give legitimacy to what he calls their "traveling road show, fear mongering and defeatist approach to an open market."

The results from the CWB plebiscite will be made public on Friday.
