It's Tuesday, May 22nd -- and for many, it's the end of a long weekend filled with fun and family time. And after I received an email from our good friend Hermann Schuhmann, on Sunday evening, I was reminded to make even more of those memories with my family. The email read like this, "With great sadness I have to let you know that my beloved wife Christine has passed away on Saturday evening around 11 due to gastric cancer." It was a shock. Now, you may be searching your memory as to who this Christine Schuhmann is -- she is a multi-lingual singer who was born in Switzerland, made her home in Elma with her husband Hermann and was a guest on Made in Manitoba multiple times. Many said she had the voice of an angel. We got to know her well here on Golden West Radio.

Christine always had such a love of the Lord, anyone she met, and every audience she sang to. Hermann -- our thoughts and prayers are with you. We trust that you will feel God's peace and comfort during this deep valley of sorrow.

But as sorrowful as it is to lose someone -- it's wonderful that her music will live on -- and we know that now, this voice of an angel, is truly singing with the angels and looking down on us all with her beautiful smile. Thank you Christine for pursuing your dream and in turn sharing your wonderful talent with us all.
