RCMP have provided an update on the condition of the driver who crashed into St. Pierre Pharmacy Wednesday night.

St. Pierre RCMP was notified at 10:35 pm that a white pickup truck was driving erratically along Highway 59 and heading south towards St. Pierre. It was reported that the suspect vehicle was swerving from side to side and, at times, travelling in the wrong lane. As officers were pulling out of the detachment parking lot, the suspect vehicle passed by and headed into the community.

Officers attempted a traffic stop as the truck was heading south in the northbound lane. Police say the truck knocked over a light post and then veered into St. Pierre Pharmacy on Sabourin Street.
