The Steinbach Pistons played their pre-season finale on Saturday night in Selkirk. The Pistons lost 5-4 in overtime to the Steelers. Brett Fargher scored thre times while Marcus Dahl had the other Steinbach goal. Brenden Edie got the start in net for the Pistons. He played 30 minutes and stopped 11 of 12 shots. James Davidson finished the game and stopped 14 of 18 shots. Steinbach finished the pre-season with one win, one loss, two overtime losses and a shootout loss. The Pistons will open the 2011-2012 Manitoba Junior Hockey League season on Friday, September 16th against the Dauphin Kings at the T.G. Smith Centre.
