The Steinbach Pistons have opened the 2011-2012 Manitoba Junior Hockey League season with back-to-back losses. The Pistons, who fell 6-2 to the Dauphin Kings in their home-opener on Friday night at the T.G. Smith Centre, gave up four third period goals and dropped a 7-4 decision to the Flyers in Winkler on Saturday. Steinbach goaltender Brendan Edie faced 46 shots including 19 in the third period. Justin Augert, Dan Taillefer, Cole Brunet and Brock Genyk did the goal scoring for the Pistons who owned a 2-1 lead after the first period. The game was tied 3-3 after forty minutes. Steinbach's next game is Wednesday at home against the Neepawa Natives.
