Niverville’s first set of traffic lights are up and operational.

“It’s an important intersection,” says MLA Minister Ron Schuler who was on hand to flip the switch at Main Street and Fifth Avenue.

“Niverville identified this more than five years ago as being a safety issue,” says Schuler, “and about five months ago they raised it again and we said ‘we’ll get it done.’”

Schuler says the installation is radar sensitive and therefore will not have people waiting long for the light to change.

“It switches quickly,” says Schuler, “and shows Niverville is growing.”
