The MLA for Springfield-Ritchot is now the Caucus Chair for the Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba.

"I'm excited to help lead our PC Caucus Team as we gear up for the upcoming spring session," says Ron Schuler. "Manitobans don't want to go back to the dark days of the NDP, and we have a great PC Team that Manitobans have trust in. I will do my part to ensure we continue listening and engaging with Manitobans and acting on their priorities."

Schuler was first elected in 1999, following previous years of public service as a trustee and chair of River East School Division. He held various roles in opposition and has served as Manitoba's Minister of Crown Services and Minister of Infrastructure.

Meanwhile, McPhillips MLA Shannon Martin is now the Caucus Whip. Martin was first elected as the MLA for Morris in 2014 and has served as the MLA for McPhillips since 2019, following the 2018 Elections Manitoba electoral boundary review. Prior to his election, Martin was the Executive Director of Reaching E-Quality Employment Services, a non-profit agency that helps persons with physical disabilities and other health challenges find meaningful employment.

"As the caucus Whip, I'm excited to do my part to help our PC Team continue addressing the priorities of Manitobans," says Martin. "While Wab Kinew's NDP will surely try to play political games and stall important legislation, I will work to get the necessary legislation passed to better our province."

Schuler replaces Blaine Pedersen as Caucus Chair, while Martin takes over for outgoing Whip Janice Morley-Lecomte.
