Giesbrecht Street in Steinbach will finally be completed south of Reimer Avenue. It's part of the plan for a new 140 lot housing subdivision to go in west of Giesbrecht, between Reimer and McKenzie.  David Banman is a partner in the project.  He says they plan to have duplexes along Giesbrecht with the remainder being single family homes on 60 to 70 foot wide lots.  Banman expects the area will be developed in phases over a 5 year span.  City council was unanimous in giving second reading approval to required zoning change.  But final approval will have to wait until after a Municipal Board hearing.  That's because 2 neighbors objected due to concerns about such things as drainage and increased traffic when Giesbrecht becomes a through street.
