Steinbach, Kleefeld and New Bothwell Fire Departments responded to three seperate accidents this afternoon. Eight people were taken to hospital in three separate motor vehicle accidents this afternoon in and around Steinbach.  Steinbach Fire Chief Mark Loewen says shortly after 3 p.m. a minivan and mid-sized car collided along Highway #52 West near Giesbrecht Street.  Loewen says it appears one of the vehicles crossed the highway when unsafe to do so.  There was also an accident at the intersection of Provincial Roads #311 and #206.  New Bothwell Fire Chief Ken Hiebert says a northbound minivan had stopped at the intersection and began to cross the highway when it was struck by a westbound car.  Three people were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.  And, one person was taken to hospital following a two vehicle accident involving a car and semi along Highway #59 near the #305 intersection.  There are no further details regarding that accident.
