The first day of school is an exciting and potentially dangerous time for students.
On Wednesday thousands of children in the southeast will ride to school on a bus.  Hanover transportation supervisor Ray Fast urges motorists to be extra careful and alert when approaching buses.  There are several new routes this year which may be unfamiliar to motorists so we should all be ready to stop at anytime when approaching a bus.  And he reminds us to always stop when the lights are flashing.  Seine River's Wayne Pearen says it'll cost you $530.00 if you don't stop.  He adds there are many new children starting school this year and they are often excited and not always paying attention to safety.  So please be alert and watch out for them.
