A motorcycle rider was airlifted by STARS Air Ambulance Wednesday morning following a collision.

Hanover Fire Chief Paul Wiebe says they were called to a two-vehicle collision between a motorcycle and a car just after 7 A.M.

“Our crews were dispatched to a collision on P.R. 205 and Road 25 East which is just west of Grunthal.” Wiebe adds “The driver of the motorcycle was airlifted by STARS and the driver of the car was uninjured. We had the highway closed for just under an hour."

According to STARS, the teenage male motorcycle rider was transported to the Health Sciences Centre in stable condition.

Wiebe says his crews left the scene at around 8:30.
