The Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition in Morris starts Wednesday.
The event kicks off with a town wide barbecue. Mayor Dale Hoffman says although this is the 44th year of the stampede, it still creates a buzz in the community. He notes it has become a strong tradition in Morris and residents would like to see it carried on. Hoffman adds the stampede gives recognition in so many ways. He says the event is considered one the biggest in Manitoba and brings thousands of people to Morris and the surrounding communities.
