Lac du Bonnet RCMP responded to a fatal snowmobile collision near Milner Ridge on Saturday.

According to police, at approximately 10:50 A.M., officers were called to a reported snowmobile collision on Snowman Trail #754, located approximately five kilometres west of Provincial Road 214, near Milner Ridge.

A 48-year-old male, from Schanzenfeld south of Winkler, was travelling on the trail when his snowmobile veered off and collided with a tree. He was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The man was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

Lac du Bonnet RCMP continue to investigate.
