It was a very frustrating day Wednesday for Credit Union members across Canada.A major software malfunction resulted in many customers not being able to access their accounts.  Mike Feliciano is chief executive officer of Everlink Services, an electronic transaction switching company which represents about 92 per cent of Credit Unions in Canada as well as some banks and retailers.  He says the problem has been fixed, however the root cause of the problem has yet to be identified.  The computer technicians are continuing to look into it but in the meantime they have dealt with the problem to the extent that the systems have stabilized.  Feliciano says the first glitch happened Monday afternoon and then resurfaced Tuesday.  Earlier information that the problem was related to Manitoba Telecom Services was incorrect.
