It can take a mere moment for tragedy to occur and Ste. Anne Town Council recognizes that.  Deputy Mayor Andre Lafreniere is hoping local residents will take this last warning seriously.  Pool owners are being given about another week to comply with provincial pool regulations and then, staff will take action against violators.  A recent report put together for Manitoba Health shows 69% of young drowning victims gained unintended access to the pool and 77% had been missing for 5 minutes or less.  Lafreniere says residents received a notice along with their tax bill, and he's hoping people will make sure their swimming pools 24 inches or more are fenced in, for safety sake.
