The project started out at $3.8 million and has now grown to $5 million.
The cost of the new lagoon in Niverville is soaring.  The tenders for the forcemains and lift stations came in about $1.2 million over budget.  And that means residents could be paying about $270.00 a year instead of the original $170.00.  Facilities and infrastructure chair John Funk says that is worst case scenario and they're doing what they can to drop the cost.  The plan is to re-tender the forcemains and lift stations in the hope of getting some lower bids.  A public meeting will be held September 19th to get input and approve the borrowing of the additional money.  This snag will push back the completion date by about 6 months to sometime in spring.
