The Winnipeg Jets will begin their pre-season schedule with a pair of split squad games against the Columbus Blue Jackets. 40 of the 60 players on Winnipeg's training camp roster will see playing time tonight. Captain Andrew Ladd, defencemen Dustin Byfuglien and Zac Bogosian, goaltender Ondre Pavelec, first-round draft pick Mark Scheifele and four Manitobans - Shayne Wiebe of Brandon, Jason Gregoire & Kevin Clark of Winnipeg and Troy Bodie of Portage will be in the Jets lineup that plays the Blue Jackets at MTS Centre. Forwards Evander Kane and Tanner Glass and goaltender Chris Mason will be playing in Columbus. Former Brandon Wheat Kings forward Matt Calvert will play for the Blue Jackets at MTS Centre tonight. The Jets will play seven exhibition games before starting the 2011-2012 National Hockey League season on Sunday, October 9th against the Montreal Canadiens at MTS Centre.
