The Winnipeg Jets are heading into the Christmas break on a losing note. The Jets (16-14-5) were outshot 39-15 and dropped a 4-1 decision to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night in the finale of the hockey club's six-game homestand. James Neal, Jordan Staal and Pascal Dupuis scored third period goals for the Penguins who peppered 14 shots at Winnipeg goaltender Ondrej Pavalec in the opening 20 minutes. Alexander Burmistrov had the lone goal for the Jets who recorded three wins, two losses and a shootout loss on the homestand. Winnipeg hasn't won back-to-back games since early December. The Jets will face the Colorado Avalanche in Denver on December 27th and then close out the 2011 portion of their schedule with home games against the Los Angeles Kings on December 29th and the Toronto Maple Leafs on December 31st.
