A man from Morris has been hired to help with the process of starting up new churches in Canada.
After nearly 2 decades of ministry at Morris Fellowship Chapel, Ward Parkinson has been hired as church planting coordinator for the Evangelical Mennonite Conference. Parkinson will help create and nurture a church planting and evangelism movement in the conference, working closely with pastors and churches. Conference pastor David Thiessen says the Conference had a part time coordinator in the past and over the last year established a search committee to try and find a full time candidate. He says over the last 5 years the task of church planting has gained a lot of interest throughout the Conference.
