The Steinbach Huskies, Lorette Comets and defending champion Grunthal Red Wings were winners in the Hanover-Tache Junior Hockey League on Thursday night.

Brayden Delvecchio scored twice as Steinbach (13-3) beat Mitchell 5-2. Jamieson Krentz, Josh Cherneski and Braden Friesen also scored for the Huskies. Stephen Funk and Tyler Funk replied for the Mohawks (2-13).

Justin Dumontier and Justin Boulet both had a goal and two assists as Lorette held on for a 6-5 victory over St. Pierre. Corey Hampson, Jordan Nagy, Ryan Marchand and Carson McCallum also scored for the Comets (13-1-0-1) who are one point ahead of Steinbach in the race for first place in the HTJHL. Cedric Gauthier had three goals for the 59'ers who stormed back from a 6-1 deficit with four third period goals. Alexandre Robidoux and Darcy Maynard also scored for St. Pierre (4-10).

Grunthal scored six times in the first period and added six more in the middle frame and bounced Beausejour 13-1. Darren Humphreys and Zack Bezditny had three goals each for the Red Wings (10-1-1-2) who moved within one point of the third place Shock (12-2). Brendan Wiens and Jared Falk added two goals apiece while singles went to Mackenzie Fedoruk, Brendan Froese and Brody Kornelsen. Sheldon Adam had the lone goal for Beausejour.
