The weather was much more comfortable this weekend for the Winter Carnival at Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach.

It had been scheduled to take place a couple of weekends ago, but that was when Ol' Man Winter delivered two blizzards to southern Manitoba.

So, it was rescheduled for yesterday and mild weather was a nice break from the cold.

Robert Goertzen, program manager, says both teams of horses were busy all day to accomodate the lineups up people who were interested in getting a ride around the museum grounds.

"It looked like the horses were enjoying themselves as well," he says.
