A suspect in the death of a man from the RM of St. Clements is now believed to have headed towards eastern Manitoba.

Eric Wildman is wanted in connection to the homicide of Clifford Joseph. Manitoba RCMP have received information of a credible sighting of Wildman Tuesday evening in the Lockport area. He was driving a grey, 2020 Chevy Equinox and was seen heading east on Highway 44.

RCMP are reminding the public that 34-year-old Eric Wildman is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If anyone sees him or his vehicle or has any information as to his whereabouts, they are asked to call 911 immediately.

According to police, 40-year-old Clifford Joseph was last seen leaving his home in the RM of St. Clements on June 7th. His green Ford Ranger was found abandoned in a rural area off Road 44 East.

On June 11th, police announced the disappearance of Clifford Joseph is being investigated as suspicious in nature and that the RCMP Major Crime Services have taken the lead on the investigation. One day later, police requested help from the public in locating Eric Wildman who they felt may have information regarding the disappearance of Joseph.

Then on June 14th, RCMP issued a warrant for Wildman. Items recovered from his vehicle included firearms and police-related clothing and equipment. That same day, it was announced that Wildman is considered a suspect in the homicide of Clifford Joseph.
