Trustees in the Hanover School Division are considering changes to the kindergarten schedule. Superintendent John Peters says a number of parents asked the division to change kindergarten to all day, every other day. So the division sent 533 surveys to parents of kindergarten children. The question was "If you would have had the choice this year, would you would you have preferred half days every day or full days every other day?" They got more than half of the forms back. Peters says 62% of the respondents feel keeping kindergarten the way it is, with half days everyday, is best for their child. He adds maintaining the current practice costs the division a lot of money in transportation each year. But the board has decided to keep the system as is for now.
