The Winnipeg Goldeyes completed a three-game sweep of St. Paul downing the Saints 7-4 on Wednesday night at Shaw Park. Price Kendall, Louis Ott and Luis Alen drove in two runs each for the Goldeyes who now lead the American Baseball Association's North Division by five games over second place St. Paul. Winnipeg starter Luis Villarreal got the win while Jamie Vermilyea earned his 14th save of the season. The Goldeyes will begin a three-game weekend series against the Saltdogs in Lincoln on Friday.
