The G3 facility at Carmangay (Alberta) received the honor for inbound grain for 2021- 2022.

Last year when animal feed supplies were an issue in Western Canada due to the drought G3 Carmangay stepped up to help.

The site which normally receives grain by truck and loads it onto trains, did the reverse to fill this critical need.

G3 CEO Don Chapman says livestock producers counted on us to supply animal feed during a difficult year, and we delivered.

Joan Hardy, CP Vice President Sales and Marketing Grain and Fertilizers says they helped to find innovative solutions when the Western Canadian grain crop was the smallest in over a decade due to severe drought throughout the Prairies.

CP presents the award annually to grain elevators that achieve high volumes from a single loading point while consistently demonstrating efficient railcar loading and a strong commitment to safety.

Chapman says G3’s high-efficiency loop track facilities have set new standards for rapid, safe train loading to keep grain moving to market.

Meantime, work is progressing on the new G3 facilities going up at Rycroft (Alberta) and Melfort (Saskatchewan).

The two high-efficiency grain elevators are set to open in the Spring of 2023 and are already hiring staff.

Both G3 locations will feature a 150 car loop train track for continuous motion.
