Can we do more this year? Wade Nerbas with Farm Credit Canada and Hank Klassen with Southeast Helping Hands Food Bank were in the AM1250 studio this morning and they think so. They have a few events planned to make that happen -- here's how it looks:

September 14th: Palmlite 2nd Annual Pie Eating Contest. Location: 320 Hwy 12N. Start time: 3:00 pm. All entries welcome - Please call Val to register 326.9271. All funds and food donated are fully donated.

September 21st: FCC Drive Away Hunger Barbecue. Every one welcome. 11:30-1:30 pm, Pork on a bun for $5. Live entertainment: Mckenzie Road. 525 Main Street, Southeast Helping Hands.

October 10th: Youth groups food drive in the evening.

October 11th: School and Community Drive.

Let's come together as a community and "Drive Away Hunger" in the Southeast -- we can do it!!
