RCMP attend scene of fatality on Road 40N Monday evening

One person is dead following an accident just northwest of Steinbach Monday evening. RCMP were called just before 6:00 to a residence under construction between Steinbach and Blumenort, one-and-a-half miles west of Highway 12 on Road 40-North. When they arrived on-scene, there was a man trapped beneath the rear-wheels of a Diamond Construction truck. That person, a 53 year-old man, died at the scene. More information is expected later today.
