A man from Grande Pointe was involved in a fatal crash Sunday near Selkirk.

At approximately 1:15 pm, Selkirk RCMP were called to a collision at the intersection of Highway 59 and Highway 4.

Officers have determined that a motorcycle, being driven by a 64-year-old male from the RM of St. Clements was heading north on Highway 59. He made a left hand turn to head west onto Highway 4, but as the motorcycle crossed the southbound lane of Highway 59, it was struck by a pickup truck.

The driver of the truck, a 74-year-old man from Grande Pointe was not injured in the crash.

The motorcycle rider, who was wearing a helmet, was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Selkirk RCMP, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
