Communities around the southeast have many events and activities to offer this weekend. 

Marked on our calendar is the Niverville Fair, and we will be there with Wendy’s Show Us Your Summer! 

From Friday, June 9, to Saturday, June 10, the streets of Niverville will be packed with many activities for everyone to enjoy. 

From live music to extreme motocross, there is no shortage of entertainment for everyone. 

For car enthusiasts, they will have a Show ‘N’ Shine car show with many vintage and must-see vehicles. If you like to be on the rides, there will be plenty of sky-high and fast rides like the Zipper and the Skymaster. 

The Globe of Death will also be there all weekend long. It is a show where professional dirt bikers are in an 18-foot tall steel ball riding around and performing stunts. 

Summer isn’t complete with a parade and fireworks. On Friday evening, they will have a fireworks show on the elementary school grounds. The free parade is Niverville Fair is a staple and is happening on Saturday at noon.  

To close the weekend, there are plenty of artists taking the stage. Performers include Jade Eagleson, The Heels and Billie Irish, among others.

Manitoba Free Family Fishing Weekend – Friday, June 9 to Sunday, June 11 

Get the rods and reels out because park visitors can fish in Manitoba provincial parks without a licence this weekend.  

Chalet Malouin 50th Anniversary – Friday, June 9 

St. Malo seniors home Chalet Malouin is celebrating 50 years this Friday, from 1:30 PM to 4 PM in their inner courtyard. They will have a barbecue and 50/50 fundraisers and live entertainment from the Melody Makers.  

Mennonite Heritage Village’s 14th Annual Tractor Trek Fundraiser for Mental Health – Saturday, June 10 

Gear up the tractors and ride them for a good cause. The 14th annual Tractor Trek fundraiser is a partnership between the Mennonite Heritage Village and Eden Foundation to support their programs. The route will take riders around the southeast and will include lunch, coffee break, faspa and breakfast beforehand.

Richer Rummage Sale in the Park – Saturday, June 10   

It’s time to find treasure at the Richer Rummage Sale hosted by the Mockingjay Archery Club. The event will be at the Premier Tech Multiplex located in Dawson Trail Park. The sale is happening from 10 AM to 3 PM. 

Hanover Soccer Days – Saturday, June 10  

The Hanover Soccer Club is celebrating 24 years this weekend. The free entry event is at the Steinbach Soccer Park and will have mini, youth and adult games. There will also be an exhibition game featuring the original Hanover Kickers against AC Italia at 3 PM. In addition to all the soccer action, there will be music entertainment from IRAL Colour Fest, a barbecue and a beer garden.
