And security at both schools has increased. Hanover Superintendant John Peters says this action is in response to Wednesday's escape by 23-year-old Earl Joey Wiebe, a former Niverville resident.  6 years ago, Wiebe killed his step-mother and there's now concern over the safety of her 2 children in the elementary school in Niverville.  Peters is confident they've taken the right measures with most of the school doors locked, increased adult supervision, and increased police presence.  Winnipeg police are warning the public that Wiebe is dangerous and not to approach him, instead call 911 immediately.  He's just over 6 feet tall with short blond hair, and a slim build.  When Wiebe escaped custody, he was wearing a blue starter t-shirt, grey track pants, and white runners.  RCMP tell us they are doing what they can to protect the Niverville community and continue their search for Wiebe.
