All right -- what's the latest in my scalloped potato saga? More help for my "undone" potatoes!! Thank you to Kathy from Winnipeg who suggests following the recipe that I have, but just microwave them in the casserole dish for 10 minutes while you heat up the sauce. Then, bake for 30 minutes. You save time AND they'll be cooked. Barb from Russell called (Auntie Barb to Jon Montgomery) and she makes her scalloped potatoes by layering the potatoes, onion, salt and pepper and dots of butter and THEN, topping that off with about 3 Tbls of instant mashed potato flakes!! Really! Then, she says, don't cover the potatoes with milk -- just pour it in till you can see it through the potatoes and then, bake for 1 1/2 hours. That should do it. Well, I promised on today's morning show that I was going to try to make every idea I've been given - next week. I'll take pictures too and let you know how they all turn out. Thanks you guys!!
