Environment Canada is expecting a milder winter this year.

An El Nino is setting up to bring warm air from the west coast.  There is never a guarantee with Canadian weather and meteorologist Dave Phillips feels the closer we get to December, the more we'll know.  He says as we approach December 1st they'll have a better idea of whether this El Nino will disappear or intensify.  Pillips adds typically an El Nino winter will make drier than normal conditions across Canada.
