A man from Winnipeg was arrested in Niverville earlier this month and charged for impaired driving. RCMP released details today.

On March 7 at 10:37am, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP received a call from a Niverville business regarding a customer that appeared to be intoxicated, trying to leave their parking lot in a vehicle. 

Police report that while officers were enroute, several people tried to stop the male, but were unsuccessful, and the male left the parking lot, proceeded to drive by a nearby school. 

Officers arrived shortly after and according to police, the male driver slowed but did not initially stop for police. 

The 46-year-old male, from Winnipeg, was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired and operation while over 80mg% (alcohol) after blowing 270mg%, over 3x the legal limit.
