The Hanover Fire Department responded to a semi crash Tuesday morning south of Niverville.

Fire Chief Paul Wiebe says they were called out at 9:47 am, after a semi-truck and car collided along Provincial Road 305 at Loeppky Road.

"When we arrived, we extricated the occupant of the car," explains Wiebe. "She was transported with STARS ambulance."

According to STARS, the female driver was transported in stable condition to Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg.

Wiebe says the male driver of the feed truck was not physically hurt.

Wiebe says it appears the semi was headed east along PR 305 when it struck the car attempting to cross the highway.

He notes the highway was closed for about an hour while crews cleared the scene.

The driver of each vehicle was the lone occupant.
