Child and Family Services is stable -- that's the message Board of Directors President Evelyn Currie wanted to get out during the Agency's 72nd Annual Meeting.  The comment referred to the organization's resiliency to a recent devolution which reduced the staff levels by a 3rd.  But the board still has financial and staffing issues to tackle.  Currie notes the current staff is often overworked, although general operations have not been hindered.  She says social services are not being funded to the extent she would like.  In the new fiscal year, she would  like to become more proactive in addressing these and other issues.
