Steinbach Pistons players are heading home for the holidays. The Pistons gave up three unanswered second period goals and lost 5-2 to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Addison Division leading Winnipeg Blues in their final game before the Christmas break on Wednesday night at the T.G. Smith Centre. Derek Gingera was a one-man wrecking crew for the Blues scoring four times while Steinbach native Isiah Plett stopped 24 shots. Dan Taillefer and Johney Cormier did the goal scoring for the Pistons who led 1-0 after the first period but trailed 3-1 after forty minutes. Steinbach goaltender Zach Rakochy faced 38 shots. The Pistons (12-23-4), who are 16 points back of the fifth place Winnipeg Saints, are idle until December 31st when they meet the Flyers in Winkler.
