The Lorette Comets and Beausejour Shock were winners in the Hanover-Tache Junior Hockey League on Thursday.

Paul Bissonnette had three goals and an assist as Lorette downed Mitchell 8-4. Joey DeFoort, Alec Lafreniere, Brett Spencer and Justin Boulet also scored for the Comets (11-1-0-1) who moved within one point of the HTJHL leading Steinbach Huskies. Jayden Plett scored a pair of goals for the Mohawks (1-10) while singles went to Bryan Saindon and Ryan O'Donnell.

Brady Musey had two goals and two assists and Bobby Mroz had a goal and four helpers as Beausejour beat St. Pierre 8-2. Devin Balness, Reid Steinke, Kyle Groinus, Brett Keilback and Sheldon Adam also scored for the Shock (10-1) who are one point back of Lorette and one point ahead of the fourth place Springfield Xtreme. Cedric Gauthier and Tyler Canvin replied for the 59'ers (3-7) who were outshot 57-50.
