Two people were taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash south of Letellier over the weekend.

On Saturday at 1:40 pm, Emerson RCMP responded to the crash along Highway 75, approximately one kilometre south of Letellier.

Police say a northbound vehicle collided with a southbound vehicle that was driving in the northbound lane.

The vehicles hit each other near the driver's side tires on each vehicle. One of the vehicles ended up in the ditch, while the other vehicle remained on the highway.

According to police, a 25-year-old female driver from Winnipeg, who was driving north, suffered very minor injuries and was treated and released on scene.

Police say the 82-year-old female driver from Emerson, who was driving south, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

The investigation is ongoing, and police say charges are pending under the Highway Traffic Act for the 82-year-old.
