The cattle market is looking good for this fall.
Henry Penner of the Grunthal Livestock Auction Mart tells us feeder calves are into the $1.40's while yearlings are well over $1.10 a pound.  He says the rain over the last few weeks has been great to improve pastures in the southeast.  We're told many cattle producers were getting concerned about the dry grass, and are quite relieved to see things turning green again.  Meantime, you'll want to make note of some changes at the Livestock Auction Mart in Grunthal.  The regular Tuesday cattle sale has been changed to Wednesdays from now on.  Penner says that's to give producers more time to get the information necessary to decide on when to sell.
