Laura Stacey of Kleinburg, Ontario had two goals and two assists as Canada's National Under-18 Women's hockey team downed the United States 6-4 in the finale of their three-game series in Rockland, Ontario. Meghan Dufault of Winnipeg, Emily Clark of Saskatoon, Rebecca Kohler of St. Thomas, Ontario and Cayley Mercer of Exeter, Ontario also scored for the Canadians who edged the Americans 3-2 on Friday. The United States took the opener 3-2 on Thursday. Hallie Krzyzaniuk of Neepawa chipped in with two assists on Sunday while Ashley Brykaliuk of Brandon also had a helper. Taylor Woods of Morden was the fourth Manitoban on Canada's 22-player roster. Hockey Canada scouts, along with the team's coaching staff, will continue to evaluate players with their club teams during the 2011-12 season, in preparation for selecting the Canadian team that will compete at the 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey Under-18 Women's World Championship in the Czech Republic in January.
