The Steinbach Huskies, Lorette Comets, Beausejour Shock and Red River Mudbugs were winners in the Hanover-Tache Junior Hockey League on Friday night.

Jeremy Levesque scored the winning goal midway through the second period as Steinbach edged Grunthal 2-1. Jamieson Krentz also scored for the Huskies while Darren Humphreys replied for the Red Wings. Steinbach (15-3) is one point back of the Comets in the race for first place in the HTJHL. Grunthal (10-2-1-2)  is three points back of third place Beausejour.

Carson McCallum scored three times and Justin Boulet had two goals and two assists as Lorette (15-1-0-1) downed Springfield 7-4. Justin Dumontier and Corey Hampson also scored for the Comets. Zak Tabin scored three times for the Xtreme (10-5-1) while Jonathan Nault had the other Springfield goal.

Sheldon Adam had four goals and two assists as Beausejour (13-3) beat Mitchell 8-5. Devon Balness added a pair of goals for the Shock while singles went to Brady Musey and Brett Keilback. Troy Blad, Jayden Plett, Riley Chabluk, Cody Penner and Stephen Funk replied for the Mohawks (2-14) who gave up four unanswered third period goals.

Brett Ostberg scored four times and Daniel Benninger had three goals and three assists as Red River (11-6) downed St. Pierre 8-5. Cody Fillion also scored for the Mudbugs. Scoring for the 59'ers (4-11) were Rohan Strydom, Trevor Gagne, Anthony Roy, Darrel Morin and Darcy Maynard.
