Alex Buhler, Noah Boschman and Sebastian Verdaguer of the Providence University College Pilots have been selected 2023 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Volleyball All-Canadians.

This is the first time for Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference women’s and men's volleyball players honoured with national All-Canadian recognition.

Buhler completed her third year at the middle position and was co-captain of the MCAC finalist squad. During the 2022-23 regular season, the Steinbach native was first in MCAC with a .335 hitting percentage while also first in conference in blocks per set at .98 along with a 2022-23 All-Conference selection.

Boschman already earned MCAC Player of the Year and All Conference selection. The first year left side was part of the 2023 MCAC champion squad. In 18 regular season matches played, the Grunthal native ended first in kills at 213 and first in kills per set at 4.18 plus first in service aces at 46, first in service aces per set at 0.90, second in conference hitting percentage at .397 while tied for fifth in total blocks.

Verdaguer is in his first year at the middle position. The Melbourne, Australia native was first in MCAC with a .491 hitting percentage while also sixth in kills per set at 2.63 along with a 2022-23 All-Conference selection.

Providence is the MCAC champion and representative at the 2023 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Volleyball National Championship hosted by Humber College in Toronto from March 8-11. The Pilots first match is against Camosun Chargers today at 11 a.m. in the quarterfinal.
