A record number of restaurants have signed up for the 2021 version of Steinbach Burger Days.
Michelle Bezditny, Executive Director for the Steinbach Chamber, says, “This year features the most restaurants participating, and just when we think the entries can’t get better, these restaurants take it to the next level.”
Last year, the fifteen participating restaurants sold a total of 12,156 burgers. This translated into $182,549.51 in total sales generated for local eateries.
While taste-testing the Burger Days entry from New B’s Café in New Bothwell, Bezditny expressed the importance of this event. “Here’s another opportunity for community to invest locally and support our local businesses because they are the backbone of our community. So, I love that support local feel you’ve embedded into this amazing burger.”
Brigitte Turner from Bigg Smoak, winners of Best Tasting Burger in 2020, had high praise for the event. “The community support, the prelude and the build up to the event just was astounding. We could not have asked for a better event. It was so well planned by the Chamber.”
Not only do food lovers have the opportunity to vote on their favourite burger, but the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce has also added some new opportunities for participants to win as well.
The Grand Prize VIP Tour will include a VIP Burger Days Tour featuring driver service, a special entrance to two of the Burger Days restaurants for dinner for two, and a local product gift basket. The chamber is also giving away daily prizes throughout Burger Week
Steinbach Burger Days begin Saturday, September 11 and run until Saturday, September 18.
