Ontario Provincial Police say a woman from Niverville was killed Sunday in a collision on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Kenora.

Dead is 30-year old Dana Dueck.

Dueck was a teacher in Niverville.

Police say she was driving eastbound on a motorcyle around 2 p.m.  The motorcycle crossed into the westbound lane and struck a pick-up truck.

The collision occurred on Highway #17 near Red Pine Ridge Road in the vicinity of Granite Lake which is close to the Manitoba/Ontario border.

There was a fatal accident yesterday on the Trans-Canada Highway, west of Kenora.

Preliminary reports indicate the victim is a woman from Niverville and that the collision involved a truck and a motorcycle. It happened around 2:30 in the afternoon in the area of Highway #17 and Red Pine Ridge Road. That's close to Granite Lake near the Manitoba border.

No further information has been released at this time.
