It would make their bottom line $150,000 richer. The Hanover School Division is joining a lobby effort in an attempt to get the federal government to rebate the amount of GST the division pays each year.  Superintendent John Peters says provincial municipalities have already achieved this tax free position.  And since school divisions are funded by government money it makes sense they get the same treatment.  School divisions from across Canada are joining together to request this change.  The board passed a resolution to support the initiative by writing a letter to the federal government.
