If you want to learn more about the history of Grunthal baseball, be sure to attend the Grunthal Baseball Reunion Saturday.
Spokesperson Jake Spenst says 75 years of baseball will be remembered in one day. Spenst says they will play 2 baseball games in the afternoon and then after supper will induct 9 individuals into the Grunthal Honour Society.
They are Steve Block, Pete Sawatsky, Ed Guenther, the late George Loewen, Hank Warkentin, the late Bill Zaporzan, the late Victor Bartel, John Unger and Marvin Kornelsen. Also, for the very first time the Grunthal sport archives will be on display showcasing uniforms, equipment, photos and scorebooks. Spenst is hoping the event will rejuvenate Grunthal spirit.
