After losing their baby boy pre-term 5 1/2 years ago, Candace, and her husband, Josh Loewen looked for support and answers in the community. On their journey they realized there was little support to be found.
Although their experience at our local hospital with induction and delivery of their deceased baby was excellent, they went home feeling alone and empty.
This past September Candace and Josh packed up their 3 kids and headed to St Louis where Candace attended a ‘SHARE pregnancy and infant loss support’ seminar while Josh spent time with the kids. Share is a non profit organization to assist and support families after the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or in the months after birth.
Southern Health to date has not had such support for many years and there is a great need!
Over the past years Candace has had friends that have experienced the same loss and heard of many others that just have no where to turn.  And unless you have experienced it in some way we often don’t understand the deep sadness and darkness that these parents face.
Having said all of that … January 5th, 2017 at 7pm Candace will be hosting her first monthly ‘Southeast Share Chapter’ support meeting at the Jake Epp Library.

Thank you Candace for joining us this morning to share your story and for your motivation to help others!!
