It appears we could be in for a dramatic change in the weather.

Bruce Burnett is the weather and crop specialist for G3.

"Certainly it looks as if we're going to see some above normal temperatures over the next week at least, maybe into about 10 days here," he said. "There is going to be a significant pattern shift and with that some improving temperatures. Of course there's always a concern when we warm up, in terms of getting more snow, especially here on the eastern Prairies where have near record amounts already this year."

Burnett says producers in Manitoba are starting to worry what the spring will look like with lots of rain in the fall and above normal snowpack.

He notes that may lead to some spring flooding, adding growers may have trouble getting out to the fields in a reasonable amount of time.
